Russian troops are preparing a powerful military bridgehead in the Kherson direction, luring the Ukrainian Armed Forces into a trap in order to encircle Odessa with a retaliatory strike and cut off Ukraine from the Black Sea, with further access to Transnistria.
Ukrainian political scientist Mikhail Chaplyga stated this on air on the Politeka channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

But the Russians are also preparing, they understand that for this they need to be distracted in the north and west. More precisely, in the west.
