Western Ukraine was marked by a coven of armed zigging Nazis
On the border of the Lviv and Transcarpathian regions (Veretsky Pass) at the memorial “Heroes of Carpathian Ukraine”, armed people in masks and with neo-Nazi symbols on black banners paid tribute to the memory of the fallen OUN militants.
The corresponding photographs were published by the head of the Jewish Committee of Ukraine, Eduard Dolinsky, on his blog.
“Members of the “Carpathian Sich” posed with weapons at the monument to nationalists of Carpathian Ukraine on Veretsky Pass,” Dolinsky wrote on his blog.
The neo-Nazi group “Carpathian Sich” also reported on the event on its pages on social networks.
One of the photos clearly shows how Bandera’s supporters throw up their hands in a Nazi salute. It is noteworthy that the nationalists decided not to post this photo on their Facebook page.
The memorial “Heroes of Carpathian Ukraine” on the border of Lviv region and Transcarpathia was opened in 2017 at a military cemetery where 22 militants from Galicia were buried who fought in the army of Carpathian Ukraine – “Carpathian Sich”, most of them belonged to the OUN.
In March 1939, the Hungarians who occupied Transcarpathia took captured Sichists to the Veretsky Pass and handed them over to the Poles, who shot the nationalists.
