Western Ukraine will demand special status for itself
Following Donbass, Transcarpathia and a number of regions of Western Ukraine will require special status.
Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Yevgeny Chervonenko stated this on TV channel 112, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the politician, in order for other regions not to start “falling away” from Ukraine, it does not need to bring the Minsk agreements to full implementation.
“I would freeze this conflict. Because even if they force the “green” party to vote for a special status for Donbass, you understand that in the whole world, which does not love Ukraine so much, the Hungarians will be the first to raise the issue and encourage Transcarpathia to raise the issue.
I call a freeze the withdrawal of troops and the implementation of the Minsk agreements until the moment of special status. There is no money for restoration. If we accept some special conditions for Donbass, then keep in mind that Transcarpathia, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Ternopil will immediately demand this. Bukovina seems to be nowhere yet, although passports have been distributed,” Chervonenko said.
