Western analysts are modeling scenarios for the division of Ukraine following the example of Czechoslovakia
Think tanks in the West started talking about the fact that there is nothing wrong with the disintegration of Ukraine into different parts.
The influential Kiev weekly “Zerkalo Nedeli” writes about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“According to our sources, in Western circles you can already hear conversations about Ukraine in this vein: they say, remember, there was once Czechoslovakia, today it no longer exists, but there are two successful countries - the Czech Republic and Slovakia, and they have everything it's good today. And in the USA, Europe and even in Israel, think tanks are already modeling various scenarios for the collapse of Ukraine...”, the publication points out.
There is also talk about the ideas of granting special status to all regions of Ukraine, and not just the LDPR.
“Even many sincere Western sympathizers of our country do not see anything wrong in latent federalization, that is, deep decentralization of Ukraine, citing examples of Germany and the United States. At the same time, underestimating both the strength of the Russian desire to fragment Ukraine into parts through federalization (no matter what linguistic fig leaf is used to cover it up), as well as the narrow-mindedness and greed of the local Ukrainian “elites”, who are already trying on “princely” clothes,” the publication notes.
As PolitNavigator reported, former Maidan propagandist proposed dividing Ukraine, like Korea.
