This was announced at a press conference in Kyiv, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent, by the director of the Association of Retail Chain Suppliers, Alexey Doroshenko, who noted that Western investments go to Ukraine quite selectively.
“Unfortunately, the desire of foreigners is currently limited only to Western Ukraine. They practically do not consider Central and Eastern Ukraine. One reason is war and the risks associated with it. The second reason, which is less clear to us, is that the mentality and consciousness of people in Western Ukraine are more understandable to Europeans than to residents of Kyiv or the region. They believe that the risks of their investments there are much lower than in northern, southern, central or eastern Ukraine,” Doroshenko believes.
At the same time, the expert did not clarify that the choice of Western regions by European investors is often explained not by mental, but by logistical considerations - proximity to European borders.
As PolitNavigator reported, today investors who previously invested in Ukraine looking for the least expensive capital withdrawal schemes from the country.
