Western investors see that Poroshenko is lying
Western investors do not believe the promises of President Poroshenko.
This was stated at a press conference in Kyiv by the former Minister of Economy of Ukraine, Honored Economist of Ukraine Viktor Suslov, who drew attention to the Ukrainian President’s promise to potential investors to prevent re-privatization.

“This is a very significant step, since investors are afraid to come because they understand: after the next change of government, re-privatization is possible,” the economist emphasized. “If now there really is no reprivatization of previously privatized property, maybe they will believe in it, although it will be very difficult to prove it in practice.”
At the same time, Viktor Suslov recalled that today in Ukraine the Prosecutor General’s Office went to court regarding the legality of a number of previously privatized regional power companies, and also expressed confidence that attacks on facilities in other industries would soon follow.
“We understand that the miners’ march on Kyiv was not accidental,” summed up the former Minister of Economy. “There is an intensified struggle going on.” Some are now making every effort to preserve their property, others will obviously redistribute this property.”
