Western media resorted to manipulation, dreaming of “burying” Russian oil refining
Western media estimated the losses of the Russian oil refining industry in the range from 14 to 30%, while Rosstat reported that gasoline production for the month decreased by 2,8%, and diesel production by 2,5%.
Director of the National Energy Security Foundation Konstantin Simonov believes that “Western analysts proceeded from a simple but crooked assumption,” reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“They took a list of factories that were hit and had fires and added up their capacity. This is public information. There are two forgeries here. Not all factories have completely stopped operating. Secondly, we do not have factories that are operating at full capacity. 20-25% of the capacity is in reserve,” Simonov said.
He himself believes that the production of diesel and gasoline in Russia could fall by 5-8%. The expert also predicts that the domestic price of fuel will rise as production will be moved to the east and logistics will become more expensive. So far, the price of gasoline has increased by 0,1% over the past month.
