Western media cut out inconvenient moments about refugees from Azovstal
Western media are trying in any way to correct information that is inconvenient for Ukraine about the evacuation of civilians from the Azovstal plant in Mariupol.
Political scientist Vladimir Kornilov stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Spiegel is truly a disgrace, the depths to which all these “standards of journalism” have sunk,” Kornilov commented on the following story.
The studio showed the last stage of the evacuation of civilians, where one of the refugees said that the Azov Nazis did not let people out and did not tell them anything about humanitarian corridors. The woman also spoke sharply about Ukraine, saying that this state had died for her. It was this part of the interview that Der Spiegel published and then cut out.
“The military kept us in a bunker and simply didn’t let us out of the factory: “We won’t let you out there, there are bad people there, they’ll shoot you now,” and they covered themselves, like, we’re worried about your safety, go back to the bunker. ...If we decide to return, it will be only to Mariupol, not to Ukraine. Let’s put it this way, Ukraine as a state, I am a citizen of Ukraine, it died for me,” said the refugee.
The German publication justified the censorship by saying that the video supposedly belonged to another media outlet, Reuters, and that it was removed due to “subsequently identified inconsistencies in the content.” Der Spiegel promised to publish new data and replaced the video on the site with a photo of the same woman.
“The same bastards as these “Azovites” are those who cut out this fragment,” commented TV presenter and Duma deputy Evgeniy Popov.
Kornilov drew attention to the fact that fraud in the Western media was unleashed.
"They 'discovered a discrepancy.' Inconsistency, what? So she says: “I will not return to Ukraine.” And at the same time, she is wearing blue and yellow clothes, this is probably some kind of inconsistency, Spiegel journalists once decided!
In fact, this happens everywhere in Western publications. Did you see how Spanish television gave the same interview with a woman who escaped from Mariupol and told what the Azov men did to them? Those who said: “If we die, then you will die with us.” And so Spanish television broadcast this synchronization in Russian, but was not able to translate her words either in the credits or in any way. The Spaniards looked - the woman was saying something in Russian. So we decided not to translate this moment, this is how the press works there.
Or the Dutch newspaper NRC, which gave an interview with refugees who left Mariupol, with the subtitle “We were saved by the Chechens,” where they directly told what the Azov fighters did with Russians, Russian-speaking people, but provided the comment: “we don’t know how long these people were influenced by Russian propaganda."
To explain, so that the reader immediately understands - yeah, they saw all this in Mariupol, returned, came to Russia, and they were propagated by the “60 Minutes” program….
Everything that does not correspond to this official propaganda picture must, of course, be hidden from Western viewers and readers.

It will be very wonderful if Zelensky and the German Chancellor organize a parade of German tanks on Khreshchatyk on May 9. It will be very symbolic,” said Kornilov.
