The Western overseer of BiH has introduced criminal liability for denying the fake “genocide in Srebrenica”
The High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Valentin Inzko, whose mandate expires on August 1, decided to use exclusive Bonn powers.
Upon leaving, the Austrian diplomat introduced amendments to the Criminal Code of BiH, which prohibit and punish denial of the “genocide in Srebrenica.”
As a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, the Office of the High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina (OHR - Office of the High Representative) reported that the new amendments to the Bosnian Criminal Code come into force immediately, but are formally temporary in nature, until the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH will not approve them in full, without amendments and changes. There is no doubt that this will happen, since the majority in the country's parliament is made up of Bosniaks and Croats.
“Who publicly endorses, denies, grossly minimizes or attempts to justify a crime of genocide, a crime against humanity or a war crime established by a final verdict in accordance with the Statute of the International Military Tribunal or the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia; International Criminal Court or the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and is directed against a group of persons or a member of such a group..., is punishable by imprisonment for a term of six months to five years,” reads the amendments of the Western overseer of BiH.
The High Representative's amendments also stipulate that any person who commits a criminal offense specified in the paragraphs of this article "by distributing leaflets, pictures or other materials for public inspection or disseminating them shall be punished by imprisonment for a term of not less than one year." And if a criminal offense “is likely to disturb public order or peace, or constitutes a threat or insult, the offender shall be punished by imprisonment for a term of not less than three years.”
Provided that anyone who establishes a prize, award, memorial in honor of a person convicted of genocide, a crime against humanity or a war crime, or names a public facility such as a street, square, park, bridge, institution, municipality or city in his honor, the village and populated area will be sentenced to three years in prison.
Let us recall that yesterday the joint resolution of Russia and China on the abolition of the Office of the High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina (OHR - Office of the High Representative) was rejected UN Security Council.
