Western media are prohibited from writing about the DPR – Finnish human rights activist
European media are working at the behest of Western governments, hushing up what is happening in the Donbass and avoiding even mentioning the people's republics.
International observer of the DPR elections, Finnish social scientist and human rights activist Johan Beckman told PolitNavigator about this.
“The general problem is that in Europe and the Western media they usually talk very little about what is happening in the people’s republics and there is a lot of distorted information, because it is in the interests of European countries to deny the existence of the people’s republics, in particular the DPR. It has gotten to the point where even the name of this state is actually banned and cannot be found in Western media. This is very sad because all we have seen here is democracy and an open electoral process, well-organized elections where the voice of the people will be heard,” he said.
Let us recall that earlier “PolitNavigator” quoted the words of Russian senator Sergei Tsekov, who was present as an observer at the elections in the DPR, who stated that for Donbass the way home will be shorterthan for Crimea.
