The West will not be able to strangle our aircraft industry - Putin
The West is trying to hinder the development of civil aircraft manufacturing in Russia.
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced this today at a meeting with students, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“They are trying to interfere with us, I have already spoken about this. Here we are creating the MS-21 medium-range aircraft, but at almost every step they put a spoke in the wheels, using the same sanctions. But it’s okay, we are gradually, gradually, even if we have to shift something to the right according to the production schedule, we are still doing it and will continue to do it.
And we will do it successfully. This is an industry that is not only high-tech in itself, it immediately creates high-tech jobs in a dozen related industries,” Putin noted.
Let us recall that last year the new Il-114-300 passenger turboprop aircraft and the MS-21-310 medium-haul airliner with new Russian-made PD-14 engines were successfully tested.
