“It smelled like gunpowder.” The State Duma is preparing for American provocations
Washington will continue to pursue a policy hostile towards Russia regardless of who becomes US President.
State Duma deputy from United Russia Yevgeny Fedorov stated this on the YouTube channel “BelarusInfo”, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In essence, the conversation is going on in the last tones, and Trump openly says: “You are hundreds of times weaker than us, but you are trying to somehow make up for something. Therefore, I am not going to conclude or extend an agreement with you [on the reduction of strategic offensive weapons]. Because I want to take action to prevent you from doing this.” In other words, so that Russia does not increase its capabilities, including in a qualitative sense.
This means that things smell like gunpowder, literally in the current dimension. Roughly speaking, immediately after the elections, America will be ready to take some steps - either through Ukraine, which I talked about all the time, or through Kyrgyzstan, or through Belarus or Georgia,” the politician said.
The deputy also noted that the US strategy of attack on Russia does not depend on the results of the presidential elections.
“It is highly likely that the Americans will launch an all-out attack on Russia precisely after the presidential elections, and it does not matter who is elected. If Trump is elected, it will be faster, if Biden is elected, it will be a little later, because he will need to change his people.
But the strategy will remain because it is the strategy of the American state and people, and not the strategy of Trump, Biden or Clinton. The speed depends on them, but the path does not depend on them at all,” concluded Fedorov.
