It smelled like something was fried: Zhebrivsky decided to flee for his life
The head of the so-called Donetsk military-civil administration, Pavel Zhebrivsky, appointed by President Poroshenko three years ago, resignedin order not to be held responsible for war crimes in Donbass
This opinion was expressed by DPR National Assembly deputy Vladislav Berdichevsky in a conversation with a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Zhebrivsky is a consistent and convinced supporter of the “big war” and “liberation” in Donbass. A sort of parody of John McCain. It is still difficult to understand what exactly his resignation is connected with; most likely, a misunderstanding arose between him and Poroshenko on the methods of destroying Donbass. It is possible that the time has come to report on the funds poured into the occupied territories. Or maybe the realization has come that all war crimes in the region can be blamed on him,” said the Donetsk politician.
He added that Zhebrivsky, in principle, could not create any dialogue with the local population.
“His perception ranged from a Gauleiter to an obvious occupier, which did not suit Poroshenko on the eve of the elections,” Berdichevsky is sure.
“Most likely, the next governor will be from local backgrounds; there is information that Yuri Grymchak is predicted to take this place, which will further deepen the gap between Kiev and Donbass,” the deputy emphasized.
