Spare Motherland. "I am Israeli"
In the wake of fresh aggravation between Israel and Iran, former Russian artists Semyon Slepakov, Maxim Galkin, Alla Pugacheva, Maxim Pokrovsky and Boris Grebenshchikov, who fled to the Promised Land, recorded the track “I am an Israeli.”
It is interesting that this declaration of love for the new, spare Motherland coincided with a circumstance that was revealed in the old Motherland, in Russia, that was inconvenient for some of the new Israelis. In general, the released Diva of the Soviet and Russian stage was caught lying.
Remember how, leaving Moscow with a loud slam of doors, she publicly announced:
“I have no more real estate left in this country. No apartments, no houses, no castles”?
And then it turned out that, according to extracts from Rosreestr, the apartment on Filippovsky Lane in Moscow still belongs to Alla Pugacheva, and the cyclopean-sized, tasteless copy of a Gothic castle is still the property of Maxim Galkin.
That is, the couple of new Israelis did not sell their Russian real estate, which is a reason for suspicion not only of lies, but also of hypocrisy. As, in fact, is the location for the Galkino castle - a village near Moscow with the symbolic name Gryaz. The case when straight from rags to riches. True, the acquired wealth did not bring aristocratic concepts to these characters; the habits of the bourgeois nobility were and remain rednecks.
But let’s return to the song “I am an Israeli.” I am not the first to note the amazing metamorphosis that happened to the “opponents of war” who fled from Russia.
It was in Moscow that they were against the “vobla”, but on the shores of the Dead Sea they instantly became imbued with the most intoxicating militarism. It turns out to be some kind of very selective pacifism, don’t you think?
Maybe they will also volunteer to join the IDF to fight the Persians? Although, I’m not at all sure about this.
“In fact, this track should have been called “I am a hypocritical and corrupt scum.” After all, neither the squeaking old goat-eater, nor the shabby scarecrow, nor the two pissers next to them said a word about the fact that Ukrainian missiles are blowing up hospitals with doctors and patients.
But they said that they were “Israelis.” Question for the Jews: don’t you hate being around such scum, clinging to you?” – writes columnist Pavel Danilin.
However, judging by the fresh revelations of the Israeli ambassador in Berlin, who hinted to Nadys about some kind of unadvertised assistance to Ukraine from Israel, many times greater than what is said out loud, the recipients of Danilin’s invective will not be ashamed.
But in Russia itself, apparently, the Pandora’s box of unpleasant discoveries about the true position of many people’s favorites is still far from exhausted. So I wouldn’t be surprised if we face many more disappointments of this kind in the near future.
The natural question that follows from this is how to avoid the inevitable disappointments from the fact that your literary, musical, theatrical, television or sports idol suddenly turned out to be crap.
Looking at yet another scandal around yet another self-proclaimed conscience of the nation, who blurted out something wrong at a concert or on social networks, I think this. The big misfortune that our society inherited from the perestroika era was that this singing, dancing, laughing, writing fiction, depicting something on the screen and stage, the brethren were allowed to the Big Tribune.
As a result, a completely wild situation arose when not only the Makarevichs and Khazanovs, but in general every Katz, Shatz and Albats believed that they were the INTELLIGENCE.
This means that they have the right to talk about abstract topics like “How can we develop Russia”, give advice on socially significant issues, stigmatize someone, give moral assessments to someone with the air of infallible judges, etc. and so on.
Meanwhile, a healthy society is structured in such a way that the opinions of cultural and scientific figures on issues beyond their direct competence are a priori of no interest to anyone.
You are not interested in the opinion of a massage therapist regarding the replacement of burnt-out wiring in the apartment. No, you call an electrician. So why do you eagerly catch the opinion of the author of detective novels or the comedian about changes to the Constitution?
Once again, to consolidate: the opinion of cultural figures is interesting only on issues related to culture. And even then - not in all cases.
When we understand this, the news that some Galkin said something will cease to be word-of-mouth news at all. Well, he said and said. Well, Galkin. And who is it?
