The crowded Yalta beaches unanimously cheered for the Russian team
Yalta journalist and photographer Andrei Burdeyny showed the “horrors of the occupation” - many townspeople and resort guests were rooting for the Russian team during yesterday’s match with the Spanish team.
Burdeyny published photographs of rejoicing fans on his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
A fan zone for Yalta football fans was organized right on the beach - chairs were placed there, and those who wished could also sit on sun loungers or just on the sand.
Let us remind you that FIFA did not recognize Crimea’s entry into the Russian Federation and did not organize official fan zones on the peninsula. Crimean football clubs also cannot play in the Russian Football Championship and be members of the Russian Football Union.
