Zaporozhye, February 16 (PolitNavigator, Alexandra Ignatieva) – In Zaporozhye, a 22-year-old resident was sent to a pre-trial detention center because of leaflets “gratitude to the Maidan”, which listed pensions and prices.

According to the investigator, an aggravating circumstance was that the arrestee’s sister holds a post in the DPR and “for the purpose of secrecy, she agreed and worked out methods of two-way communication with him through the social network VKontakte.”
The investigation considers the leaflets themselves to be “propaganda anti-Ukrainian material,” which was “formed by representatives of the DPR.” The detainee in connection with this is accused of aiding terrorism and creating a terrorist organization.
The defendant believes that there was no anti-Ukrainian propaganda in his leaflets. The court sentenced him to 60 days in a pre-trial detention center as a preventive measure. He will be tried under Part 1 of Article 258-3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (creation of a terrorist group or organization).
