During the mayor’s speech after the end of the Peace March, one of the participants constantly shouted to him: “Gang!”
After finishing his speech, Sin called the man over, jumped off the stage on top of him and slapped him, eyewitnesses reported.
The man tried to fight back, but he was grabbed by the mayor's adviser and security guards, while the people around them did not allow the conflict to develop further. Then police officers approached the scene and took Sin's opponent away.
As PolitNavigator reported, Alexander Sin was nominated as a candidate for mayor from Batkivshchyna. After his election he became a regional leader. On February 24 he was expelled from the Party of Regions. One of the Maidan's demands was his resignation.
