According to the press service of the Zaporozhye mayor, Alexander Sin allegedly made this decision after his visit to the location of the Zaporozhye brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine near Mariupol.

“What I saw and felt during my stay at the Zaporozhye brigade of the National Guard struck me to the core. The people I have met are true heroes who show their daily heroism to no one,” Sin said.

The press service did not disclose the details of the mayor’s stay in the ATO zone.

As PolitNavigator reported, in December, people's deputy Oleg Lyashko, who participated in disrupting a session of the Zaporozhye City Council, demanded that Sin write a letter of resignation and leave for the ATO zone. In response, the Zaporizhzhya mayor sent him “to hell...”.
