The ban on Poroshenko turned out to be effective: VKontakte dropped out of the top ten most popular
The most popular sites in Ukraine are Google, Youtube and Facebook. The website of the Russian social network VKontakte has dropped out of the top ten resources visited by Ukrainians, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This is stated in the results of the CMeter study by Kantar TNS Ukraine.
The top ten popular sites also include the sites of Olx, Privatbank, Wikipedia, Prom.ua, the online store Rozetka, Ukr.net, Sinoptik.ua.
The website of the Russian social network “Vkontakte” dropped out of the top ten resources visited by Ukrainians.
After the holidays (February 14, March 8), the coverage of Rozetka decreased, and the spring brought growth of almost 2% to the Chinese marketplace Aliexpress.com.
Due to the cold weather, Ukrainians were actively interested in the weather, thereby increasing the coverage of Sinoptik.ua and Gismeteo.ua by almost 3% and 4%, respectively.
As you know, on May 16, 2017, President Petro Poroshenko signed a decree that put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council to update the list of sanctions against a number of Russian companies, including the social networks VKontakte and Odnoklassniki, and the Yandex company. Later, the NCRSI approved a method for blocking Russian sites.
Let us recall that back in January 2018, VKontakte and Yandex were among the top 5 most visited sites in Ukraine.
