A fight broke out in the Verkhovna Rada at a meeting on Friday. The reason was a dispute about yesterday’s TV appearance by deputy Yevgeny Muraev, who questioned the theses of Ukrainian propaganda and admitted that Oleg Sentsov, convicted in Russia, was actually preparing a terrorist act.
“From the point of view of the fact that a person prepared arson and explosions, for part of the population he is a terrorist. For the nationalist part, he is probably a hero. Time will put into place who is right and who is wrong,” these words of Muraev on television became the cause of today’s scandal.
Former ATO militant, deputy Andrei Teteruk, demanded to take repressive measures and further strengthen censorship, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We are deeply outraged by the situation occurring in the information space of our country. Where Ukrainophobes and mankurts of the Ukrainian people can absolutely freely declare the absolutely false words of the Kremlin that supposedly Ukrainian director Oleg Sentsov is a terrorist and someone who commits crimes against the Ukrainian people,” Teteruk said.
“I also appeal to the head of the SBU with a request to give a legal assessment of the statements that are heard from some channels and which repeat the Kremlin’s propaganda theses. I also ask that the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting quickly consider the issue of granting a license to channels that contribute to the dissemination of false Kremlin propaganda and Ukrainian infophobic statements by individual deputies, such as the scumbag Murayev,” added the militant deputy.
Prime Minister Vladimir Groysman, who was present in the hall, expressed solidarity with Teteruk.
“I absolutely agree with your latest assessments. You have to dislike your native country so much that you allow yourself to make such statements that are absolutely unacceptable for a normal person
...I am deeply convinced that it is necessary to take all tough measures against those who commit crimes against our state, our citizens, who create crimes, including those of an information nature, that undermine the foundations of our statehood. I believe that both the national council and state legislation in a democratic way should be tough on those who are involved in this. This is no less a crime than what is happening now in Donbass,” Groysman said.
The deputies were supported by the head of the defense committee of the Ukrainian parliament, Sergei Pashinsky.

Moscow’s reaction was immediate: the creature who holds the mandate of a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, named Muraev, made a statement on the NewsOne channel that according to Sentsov, not everything is so simple, this man is ready for arson and explosions, and time will put everything in its place. If some Kiselyov or others said this, it is clear that this is Russian propaganda. But this Russian propaganda, the Russian accusation of the aggressor country was repeated word for word by the Verkhovna Rada deputy. We, as the Verkhovna Rada, cannot help but react to this.

“Allow me, on behalf of the entire Rada, to join the demand regarding the people’s deputy. It is a shame that this person bears such a title, and the “Opposition Bloc” should immediately apologize... Yes, he is non-factional, I apologize, but you brought him here based on the lists. We demand from People’s Deputy Muraev an apology to Sentsov, to his family, and to all political prisoners,” she began.
