Additional trains to Crimea are being launched. Ticket prices. Loading hotels
By summer, two additional trains from Moscow to Simferopol and one new Kerch will be launched in Crimea. Additional trains will connect Crimea with operating airports in Adler, Volgograd and Mineralnye Vody, the head of the external communications service of the carrier company Grand Service said on Radio Crimea. Express" by Alexander Kudryavtsev, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
“This year we tried to analyze which stations are most popular among our passengers...
In particular, due to the fact that we have limited communication from southern airports, you cannot arrive by plane, but you can come by train. Many people try to get, for example, by train to Rostov-on-Don, and then transfer to our trains. In this regard, it was decided to launch two trains from Rostov-on-Don - one every other day, the other once a week, so that residents of both Rostov-on-Don and other regions who find it convenient to get to Rostov would not transfer at intermediate stations, but in the original ones.
The same was done for Ufa and Chelyabinsk,” Kudryavtseva clarified.
In fact, since the end of April, “Grand Service. Express has switched to a summer schedule. So a train from Volgograd runs every other day in the direction of Simferopol, and trains from Mineralnye Vody and Adler also depart every other day. These cities have the closest operating airports to Crimea.
“If last year we gradually increased the number of trains from mid-summer, then this year almost all of them have already been launched,” noted a representative of the carrier. – From May 26, we will have a train from Moscow to Feodosia.
As for additional trains from Moscow, two Moscow-Simferopol trains have already been launched, and less than a week ago we announced the launch of the Moscow-Kerch train. It will begin running on May 26 and will be equipped with completely new compartment cars, fresh from the assembly line, and each will have a shower.”
During the holiday season, 22 pairs of trains will run to Crimea, including at least 17 daily. The summer schedule will be valid until the end of September - beginning of October. Pre-sale of tickets begins 45 days in advance, the average cost of travel in a reserved seat from Moscow to Simferopol is 4 thousand rubles, in a compartment – 9 thousand rubles.
This year, for the May holidays, “Grand Service. Express has doubled the number of passenger seats on Tavria trains, planning to transport about 200 thousand passengers. The resulting flow was 150, which many tour operators attribute to safety risks, an unusually cold spring and two separate holiday periods. Taking into account the 28-hour journey, Muscovites did not go to Crimea for a couple of days off, and the main contingent of vacationers are residents of the peninsula and the Southern Federal District.
As for the prospects for the holiday season, experts predict that hotels will see 50 percent occupancy, and the main flow will be in large complexes that offer off-season prices in the summer. The sector of guest houses and mini-boarding houses, which previously benefited from lower prices, will remain the least in demand with the loss of this advantage.
