On May 17, forest fires broke out in the Chernobyl region of the Kyiv region.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Near the village of Strakholis, Vyshgorod district, a fire broke out in the forest floor. The area of the fire is being established,” the report notes.
It was later informed that the fire area was 45 hectares.
At the same time, the smell of burning could be felt even in Kyiv, as many residents of the capital wrote about on social networks.
