“The wealth of Russia will grow from Siberia,” the once brilliant Russian scientist Mikhail Lomonosov said perspicaciously. And in fact, no state in the world has anything even close to the Siberian natural storehouse: the green sea of taiga, living spaces, diamonds and gold, oil and gas, huge reserves of fresh water, which in the next 50 years can become a resource, much more in demand than oil, gas and even diamonds.

America, like the rest of the “civilized world”, in the absence of Siberia, has learned to exchange the natural resources of the aborigines for glass beads and Coca-Cola with the help of talk about democracy, “color revolutions” with the support of some “Sixth Fleet”.

But what to do if you are not Russia, not America or Canada, but the ancient European state of Ukraine, in which “peremoga” has reigned for the last three years, but for some reason things are getting worse every day. The Ukrainian elite, having finally freed itself from the chimera of conscience, at the same time lost a lot in profits. It is no longer possible, as before, to stir up oil and gas “schemes”, blackmailing Russian partners with “multi-vector”, and make easy money on transit flows by economically screwing and unscrewing the faucets. But is there a way out of the current impasse somewhere? After all, somewhere in the world there are still natural storehouses - these tasty oil and gas deposits, just calling for the zealous Ukrainian owner to dispose of them?

The answer to this question is given by Ukrainian “vchenye”. There are such storerooms! Eat! And not just anywhere, but right next to a group of Ukrainians. But far away - in Antarctica, but not far from the Ukrainian Antarctic station "Akademik Vernadsky" on Galindez Island. As many as three oil fields and four gas fields. You just have to extend your hand.

Director of the National Antarctic Center of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine Valery Litvinov spoke about this in an interview with TSN. “This is such a rich continent. I’m not afraid to say that Ukraine’s wealth will increase at the expense of Antarctica,” he said. According to him, there is no less oil and gas in Antarctica than on the Arabian Peninsula. There is a ban on mining on the mainland until 2041, but the situation may change, the scientist suggested. Several countries, including the USA and Russia, have already declared Antarctica as a sphere of their interests,” added the Ukrainian Lomonosov.

Eh, “wonderful” Litvinov... It is about such wise Chinese that they say: “when a rhinoceros looks at the moon, he is wasting the flowers of his spleen.”

Let us leave alone the “discovery of Ukrainian academicians”, which was entirely “borrowed” from the data of Soviet geological exploration. Let's move on to the waste of the “spleen flowers” of the lusting Ukrainian rhinoceros.

It is true that Antarctica is the only uninhabited territory and an untapped storehouse of humankind's natural resources. But at the same time, Antarctica has been assigned the status of a no-man’s land where only scientific activity is possible. There was once a whaling base in Antarctica, but after an international ban on whaling, the bases were abandoned, and for more than 40 years only scientists have been working in Antarctica.

Actually, the ancient Ukrainians were not original in their claims to the natural resources of Antarctica. Some states have expanded their lips on Antarctic territories to the point of indecency. Let's say Norway claims a territory ten times larger than its own (including the island of Peter I, discovered by the Lazarev-Bellingshausen expedition). The British cherish hopes of extracting ore and hydrocarbons on the Antarctic shelf.

The immodest Australians took over almost half of the Antarctic continent in their favor, while simultaneously infringing on French claims to Adelie Land. New Zealand did not stay away from the division of the Antarctic pie. A potential bone of contention between the UK, Chile and Argentina could be the vast territories that include the Antarctic Peninsula and the South Shetland Islands. Information came from unofficial sources that the United States had designated Mary Byrd Land for itself.

What a modest piece of Antarctica Ukraine has outlined for itself as “pied pomodoros” can only cause tears of tenderness. But it’s hardly all about modesty. Most likely, the owners of “the most powerful army in Europe” quite soberly assess the military capabilities of their boat and kayak fleet and simply squeak quietly so as not to be left out in the cold during the head-to-head analysis.

However, if we remember that the Akademik Vernadsky station was British until 1996 and in its maiden name was “Faraday”... Still, three oil fields and four gas fields in the vicinity are probably worth sending a couple of royal destroyers to them ? Purely to protect the penguins from Bandera.

By extending your hand to the Antarctic storehouses, you can also extend your legs. What is allowed to Jupiter is not allowed to a stupid rural bull.

Obviously, all these crows would have flocked long ago to divide Antarctica along with its riches, not caring about possible conflicts and collisions - the stakes in the game are too high. The sale of ice to the Emirates and Saudi Arabia alone (and very soon to India and China) promises considerable profits. But the two main players on the planet - Russia and the USA - remain with a “dissenting opinion”, according to which Antarctica will be ownerless for an indefinite period and belongs to scientists of all countries. And so far China has been very silent. So, the “expert” is lying. Russia and the United States did not announce anything like this. Accordingly, everything that the mackerel has marked and bitten off for itself on the maps goes through the forest, echoing the dissatisfied rumbling in the bellies of the new conquistadors.

By the way, the damned Muscovites have outdone everyone in Antarctica: seven operating polar stations, one field base and three more bases are mothballed until better times.

In addition, before the year 2041 mentioned by “the first” Litvinov, when the division of Arctic goodies may begin, Ukraine still has more than 20 years to live, during which everything may turn out as in the parable of Khoja Nasreddin, who took on five thousand gold tangas from the treasury of the padishah teach a donkey theology within 20 years. In the sense that during this time either the donkey, or the padishah, or Khoja himself will die - then figure out who knew theology better.

Does history have another 20 years left for Ukraine - that is the main question. Stretch your legs along the clothes.
