The Serb who defended the nun was released from Kosovo prison thanks to the Serbs of Montenegro
A Serb from Montenegrin Podgorica, Risto Jovanovic, who was arrested by the “Kosovo police” on June 28, on the day of remembrance of the Heroes of Kosovo Field in Gazimestan, was released.
Yovanovic was released after the Montenegrin Serb party “Democratic Front” paid bail for him in the amount of 6 thousand 700 euros.
As a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, the Kosovo “court” nevertheless sentenced Yovanovitch to six months in prison for “inciting hatred and intolerance.” But with the possibility of replacing the prison sentence with a fine of 6 thousand 700 euros and a ban on entry into Kosovo for the next five years. Jovanovic's lawyer and family agreed with the latter. Bail for the convicted person was provided by the Montenegrin Serb Democratic Front party.
“Risto Jovanovic is faithful to the Kosovo oath, like all Serbs in Montenegro, and therefore we are obliged to help him be released and return to Montenegro,” one of the DF leaders, Andrija Mandic, commented on the posting of bail.
Let us recall that Serb Risto Jovanovic from the Montenegrin capital of Podgorica, who stood up for an Orthodox nun who was being searched at the entrance to Gazimestan (the monument to the Heroes of the Battle of Kosovo), was captured by the so-called “Kosovo police”.
After which a case was opened against him for allegedly “intending to provoke discord and intolerance between ethnic communities during the Vidovdan celebrations in Gazimestan,” as the court ruling states.
