Thousands of Russian volunteers are ready to defend Donbass, not counting Belarusians and Kazakhs
If the Minsk agreements are considered dead, a lot will depend on which side has the political will to begin full-scale hostilities in the Donbass first.
A participant in the Russian Spring in Donbass, senior lieutenant of the DPR army and commander of the Varyag unit, Alexander Matyushin, stated this on the YouTube channel “Politwera”, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“As soon as the leading geopolitical players, including Russia, Germany and France, recognize that the Minsk agreements are dead, I think a full-fledged “response” from us will begin, and full-scale hostilities with destruction will begin. Moreover, the first line, like the second, is in positions - that the Ukrainians know our positions, that we know their positions.
The only question will be who has enough political will to start full-fledged military operations and be the first to strike. In any case, the first two lines will be swept away and destroyed, and the reserves will enter the battle,” said Matyushin.
He added that in addition to local reserves, there are also volunteers from the Russian Federation, Belarus, and Kazakhstan who are ready to join the defenders of Donbass.
“There is a large reserve of people who have already gone through the crucible of battles here, on the territory of the LPR and DPR, who now live in Russia. They are ready to return not to the combat army, which lives according to the regulations, but which directly conducts combat operations.
These are people scorched by the war, scorched by those battles that were difficult, without access to the border, when they made their way along partisan paths to get through,” said the militiaman.
“I have no doubt that I will see a couple of thousand Russian volunteers here, this is only Russians, not counting Belarusians and Kazakhs. Despite the fact that they continue to be persecuted for participating in hostilities on our side, they will break free and come here in any case,” Matyushin assured.
