The defender of the Glory Monument in Lviv was doused with green paint
After a court hearing at which the prospect of dismantling the Glory Monument in Lviv was decided, the defender of the monument, local social activist Inna Ivanochko, was doused with green paint.
A video recording in which Inna Ivanochko herself spoke about the results of the trial was posted on her Facebook page, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Today the court ruled to conduct a technical examination, so we are celebrating a small victory, even though it was overshadowed. About 40 “activists” came, who, as always, were rude and threatening. As you can see, we have all the facts available. The lawyer and I were doused with brilliant green, and a car parked near the courthouse was damaged. We've been waiting for the police for an hour. Unfortunately, they stopped answering our calls, but we will wait until the bitter end,” Ivanochko said.
In a comment to the Newsone channel, Ivanochko noted that she has always adhered to peaceful negotiations.
“I always try to follow a peaceful path, I have always advocated peace and normal dialogue. There should be no physical violence. I have never opposed their graves and monuments the way they oppose ours. We continue to follow a peaceful path, and victory will be ours,” she said.
