The defender of the leader of the “Russian Bloc” reiterates the falsification of the case
The criminal case, in which the leader of the “Russian Bloc” Gennady Basov has been behind bars without proven guilt since the fall of last year, was fabricated. This is stated in a statement by Pavel Volkov, a comrade-in-arms and public defender of the hero of the Crimean Spring.

“Sevastopol recently returned home to Russia, and before its return under Ukraine, this area of business was protected by Ukrainian police officers from the department for combating economic crimes, it was they who ensured the functioning of shadow schemes in cemeteries. Moreover, with the advent of Russia, many of them became Russian police officers,” writes Volkov.
“I would like the president’s words about the personal responsibility of law enforcement officers for such crimes to find immediate support on the ground. In this criminal case, Basov is immediately alarmed by the fact that he was detained in the cafe only a few hours after the so-called transfer of funds, for some reason there was no video or audio recording, for some reason there were no money marked with paint, they were allegedly simply copied , and much more, which may indicate either the lack of professionalism of government officials or deliberate falsification.
The fact that the case is falsified is unconditionally confirmed by the decision to initiate a criminal case. It says that Basov personally met and personally extorted money from the applicant. However, the applicant had enough common sense and did not risk incurring criminal liability. He officially testified on record that he had never met Basov and had only seen him on TV. Nevertheless, the criminal case was allowed to proceed,” the defender of the leader of the “Russian Bloc” says indignantly.
