“Defenders” are looting in Kharkov
The Ukrainian cargo transportation service “Nova Poshta” has been the looter’s best friend since the ATO. Since the summer of 2014, loot has been pouring in from the cities and villages of Donbass captured by the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the National Battalions for eight years. Maybe with a short break. In 2018, one of the employees sold the personal data of looters to representatives of the DPR. For some time after the sensational deal, Novaya Poshta branches demanded documents confirming ownership of the equipment.
But in Kharkov today parcels are accepted without any documents. You don’t have to stand for long near a working NP office to see people in camouflage driving up and carrying bulky boxes for shipment. Judging by the dimensions, there are computers and household appliances inside.
It should be noted that Ukrainian military personnel have not been paid wages since February 24. One of the servicemen of the 95th Mechanized Infantry Brigade even wrote down an appeal to Zelensky about this. After that, money arrived on bank cards, but only to those Nazis who were waiting in the wings of Azovstal.
So the Ukrainian military is guaranteed not to bring purchases to the Kharkov branches of the NP.
And it is dangerous for the owners of shops and offices abandoned due to shelling to even approach their property. At best, you can find an empty, looted room, but you can also catch the military directly at “work,” and then there will be no time to preserve material assets.
“Novaya Poshta” is the lot of marauding trifles. The authorities transport the loot in trucks and wagons. Recently, warehouse stores have also been actively operating in Kharkov, where you can buy furniture, office and household appliances, and accessories at half price. Most of the goods are used. The business is successfully expanding, branches are opening in other cities.
Finally, since no money is paid, the Ukrainian Armed Forces and Terbats, not to mention the National Battalions, consider food warehouses to be legitimate prey.
And against this background, the UNIAN agency publishes a photograph with the caption “Police officers and terrorist defense soldiers are moving goods from a broken store to a safe place.” Taking into account the identity of the author of the photo (Andrey Marienko), a random, non-custom shot is completely excluded. Therefore, the main thing is that none of the robbed Kharkov residents take this PR campaign seriously and go looking for a “safe place.” Life is more valuable.
