The Honored Artist of Ukraine admitted that the Russians did not let Ukrainian cinema die out
In Ukraine, producers do not have the money to make good TV series, and the state also does not allocate the necessary funds for this.
Honored Artist of Ukraine, actress Irma Vitovskaya stated this on air on the ZIK TV channel after the start of the war in Donbass defiantly refused to film in Russian TV series, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Before the war, I worked a lot with Russian-language content, with Russian-language products. At that time, little was produced in Ukrainian, and you could sit in Russian, but lose your practice. The Russians - this was a big market that worked with us - here we need to discard all populist things. Why didn’t the state allocate money or why didn’t we have such success in economic growth so that the advertising market was larger? We didn’t film not because we didn’t want to, but because to film one episode you need from 10 to 50 thousand dollars. The Russians gave money for this,” said the actress.
According to her, professional teams have appeared in Ukraine thanks to this market.
“It’s not just the performers you see on camera or the directors, but also the technical teams – lighting, sound, it’s a large group of people who work on this. They are now working so professionally that Ukraine is ready itself. Now the only question is money and compliance with these quotas, so that these quotas start working,” Vitovskaya said.
Earlier, Vitovskaya, as PolitNavigator reported, demanded that people be evicted from the country, buying tickets for Russian artists.
