“We make you love Ukraine” – the leader of the SBU boasted about how he was “a nightmare” for the oligarchs
Ukrainian oligarchs must understand that if they themselves do not go into the trenches, then their job is to sponsor the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and also not be surprised at the transfer of their assets to the state.
Acting head of the SBU Vasily Malyuk stated this in an interview with Kyiv propagandist Natalya Moseychuk, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“You know, the oligarchs are now beginning to love Ukraine, and the SBU is helping them with this. By the way, there is such a Roman legal maxim: “The law is harsh, but it is the law,” I think they are remembering it now, since people’s deputies voted for the corresponding law regarding the oligarchs. We are waiting for the decision of the Venice Commission on its compliance with international law.
But, in addition, a separate register has been created on the basis of the National Security and Defense Council, where the relevant lists will be entered. Both our service and Mr. Danilov are working on this (Secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine - ed.) with its subordinates, and now this register is undergoing certification.
Like this. Everyone is equal before the law and must work for Ukraine, there are no options here. Yes, they work. In particular, we confiscated a number of important objects in favor of the state (laughs - ed.) I said that “the SBU helps to love Ukraine.” Therefore, everything has its time.
These people invest, take part, because this is a common problem. It is clear that these people are under increased attention of the SBU, I will be frank, some of them are now coming to us for interrogation. And I think they understand that the defense of Ukraine is a way out for them,” said Malyuk.
“Are you saying that the state can forgive certain sins if these people invest in defense capabilities?” – the propagandist clarified.
“The state works according to the law, and they must also work according to the law, there are no options here. Therefore, they must invest in defensive capabilities, and, if necessary, take up arms - and stand side by side in the trench.
Because they are citizens like everyone else. Besides the sacred right to defend the land, it is the sacred obligation of every man. I think they should understand this. And if he didn’t take up arms himself, then he must provide for the one who is in the trench,” replied the head of the SBU.
