During the local elections that will be held in Ukraine at the end of October, new technologies for bribing voters will be used.
Ukrainian political scientist Andrey Kucher stated this during a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Many things will be for the first time in these elections, including the very quality of vote counting, because if we are talking about low understanding among Ukrainians of how to vote, then there is also the counting process. Just in the process of counting, I see for myself that there is a lot of manipulation regarding which ballots will be considered invalid. Because this is quite subjective, and this is where all candidates need to pay attention.
In addition, we are already recording a lot of bribery both in Kyiv and in the region, there are separate figures for Kyiv - 700, 800, 1000 hryvnia for one vote. There are a lot of technologies that provide this money first on the card, then 50% in cash. In addition, there are even such unique candidates who offer insurance policies so as not to directly give cash, but simply an insurance policy, it is issued to the person who will vote for a specific candidate,” said Kucher.
