Developers and landowners from Klitschko’s party made themselves a gift at the expense of the Kyiv budget (VIDEO)
Kyiv, February 04 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Mikhailov) – The new Kiev government, like the previous administration of Leonid Chernovetsky, thinks, first of all, about the interests of deputies, and not the city, says Ivan Sikora, director of the Open Society Foundation.

“Not only the current mayor, but also his predecessors spoke about corruption in the field of land relations. The loss figures are different - 50, 70 billion UAH. But we know that for the last four years the budget has not received more than 1,2 billion from land leases. At the same time, there is a problem with a large number of lease agreements - they are either completed and they simply do not pay money, or the interest rates are too low. The rate for 60% of the leased territory in Kyiv is lower than the 3% required by law.
In addition, in Kyiv the standard monetary valuation of land has not been raised for eight years. Last year it was revised, but the deputies made a gesture for those who make up about a third of the Klitschko faction - developers, owners of land plots for parking lots and other objects. They delayed the change in the regulatory monetary valuation of land for six months. For the budget, this means a loss of 500-700 million UAH per year or 250-350 million UAH in six months,” the social activist said.
