Moscow - Kyiv, November 13 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) - Sooner or later, Lugansk and Donetsk must return to a single state space with other regions of Ukraine. The head of the Institute of CIS Countries, Konstantin Zatulin, stated this on the air of the talk show “Politics” on Russian TV.

That is why, according to him, Russia did not officially recognize the elections in the DPR and LPR.

“Russia will not recognize the elections in the DPR and LPR for the reason that now one part of Novorossiya has broken away and is building its own republics, and the other Russian-speaking Ukraine is now suppressed. In order for Ukraine not to completely turn into an anti-Russian state, it is necessary that sooner or later Donetsk and Lugansk return to the common space with Kharkov, Odessa, Kiev and everyone else,” Zatulin said.
