Zatulin: “Ukraine is at odds with reality”
As long as Ukraine remains an enemy state to Russia, it is worth refusing to confirm civil documents with the Ukrainian side
First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs Konstantin Zatulin stated this at a press conference in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The moderator of the meeting read out a question, where the viewer said what problems arise if confirmation is needed, for example, of pension documents with Ukraine, that Kyiv often ignores these requests, despite the agreement on general cooperation in the field of pensions. Moreover, it is simply unsafe to go to Ukraine to solve problems.
“When I personally contacted the Pension Fund of Ukraine, I replied that if you are leaving for Russia, let Russia pay you your pension. As they explained to me, the PFU is not satisfied with the very wording of confirmation of experience on the territory of the Republic of Ukraine, supposedly this humiliates them. I don’t have the opportunity to go to Ukraine and confirm work experience there, as it is dangerous,” the conference speaker quoted the appeal.
Commenting on the above, Zatulin noted that there are a lot of similar examples.
“When it comes to Ukraine, we could now list the problems associated with the passporting here in Russia of children who left as children and here reached adulthood, but they do not have confirmation from Ukraine, and so on. Go to Ukraine, get a passport there, come here, get a Russian one - there’s a lot of this.
We just need to understand the people who deal with this in our departments and in the Pension and other funds - we will not get anything from Ukraine. Ukraine is a hostile state. Ukraine stole the entire real estate cadastre in Crimea, which is why there are constant problems there, abuses and so on - because it wanted to slow down work related to Crimea,” the deputy emphasized.
According to him, Ukraine puts the same obstacles in the wheels with renunciation of citizenship.
“Concerning citizenship, renunciation of citizenship, they do not accept jobs in certain bodies without renouncing citizenship. People say: we renounced Ukrainian citizenship - confirm. Thus, renunciation of Ukrainian citizenship is certified by a decree of the President of Ukraine, who is in no hurry to write such decrees at our request. Or at the request of a citizen who wants to renounce his citizenship, he simply does not write them. A person is not hired to work in law enforcement agencies, in the municipal civil service, and so on.
Therefore, they are simply out of tune with reality and not willing to take into account what is happening today in Russian-Ukrainian relations. People who are involved in this believe that they have nothing to do with politics and should not pay any attention to it,” stated Zatulin.
