Trans-Ukrainians intend to disrupt the event of the Russian Embassy on May 9 in Warsaw
The Embassy of the Russian Federation in Poland invited everyone interested to events on Victory Day on May 9. Participants will meet at 11.30 at the Cemetery-Mausoleum of Soviet Soldiers in the capital of Poland. This year, local pro-Kiev activists plan to interfere with the events.
Ambassadors and diplomatic representatives of Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan will take part in the celebration of Victory Day. In addition to diplomats, representatives of Polish non-governmental organizations and veterans intend to participate in the events.
The Russian Embassy officially informed the Polish Foreign Ministry about the events. The Polish authorities must, accordingly, guarantee the safety of participants in ceremonial events. The Warsaw City Hall claims that it is also aware of the planned event, but does not intend to assist the organizers in any way. City officials point to the police, arguing that they are responsible for public order.
Meanwhile, calls for protests have appeared on social networks, which are going to be organized by local anti-Russian activists together with Ukrainian nationalists. Polish state television reports in advance about possible provocations during events.
The Warsaw Cemetery-Mausoleum of Soviet Soldiers is the burial place of 21 soldiers killed in the battles for the liberation of Poland.
On May 9, we will inform you about the progress of the event.
