Trans-Ukrainians in Moscow organized a yellow-blue flash mob. The police had to intervene
The police had to stop the provocation staged by the liberals - the allegedly “spontaneous” laying of yellow and blue flowers at the monument to Lesya Ukrainka in Moscow in memory of those killed in Dnepropetrovsk, where a residential building collapsed as a result of the unsuccessful work of the Ukrainian air defense (according to another version, the building was blown up by the SBU for the purpose of blame Russia).
Law enforcement officers had to detain several people. It’s interesting that since the morning a camera from a German TV channel was on site, and then foreign media outlets were on duty, trying to record the picture of “support for Ukraine” and “Putin’s atrocities.”
The kind of public that has gathered near the monument can be judged from a blog post by Moscow liberal Alexander Yaslenkov, who is photographed in front of a Ukrainian trident and wears a yellow-blue ribbon on his clothes.
“I am completely delighted with the Muscovites who spontaneously created an anti-war memorial. I have not experienced such inspiration and elation for a long time. When I approached, a couple of young people were already at the monument. And people kept coming. Almost every minute. With flowers. Yellow and blue as well. I hope they are visible in my pictures...
Then a woman came with flowers. She herself is from Dnieper, and her relatives lived in the same house from the photo. Survived. The woman is very nice, she wrote “No to war” in the elevator all last year, while the cleaners did the laundry.
And just like that, the whole time I was standing at the monument, people came up, took photographs, and laid flowers. Dozens of people in the hour that I spent at the memorial. It grew right before my eyes, filling me with inspiration and pride for my fellow citizens protesting against the war and its atrocities.
Only one grandmother with a dog and grandfather spoke out against it - she didn’t like the pyramid, she saw LGBT people in it. An obvious TV viewer and victim of propaganda, what does she imagine in a children’s toy?
But in general, the reaction of Muscovites made me very happy. There are so many opponents of the war who sympathize with Ukraine and Ukrainians,” Yaslenkov wrote.
