Trans-Ukrainian Zubkov escaped prison term
The Supreme Court of Crimea canceled sentence Belogorsky District Court, which sent the owner of the Taigan lion park, non-Ukrainian Oleg Zubkov, to a colony.
For 2 years and 3 months, the owner of two of the largest zoos in Crimea was thundered after a scandal with an injury to the thumb of a one-year-old baby, who, according to his mother, was bitten by a tiger, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The lawyers appealed the verdict of the Belogorsk District Court, and the appeal was granted. The case will return to the trial court for a new trial.
Oleg Zubkov was released from custody, and a preventive measure was chosen in the form of a written undertaking not to leave the place and proper behavior.
Let us remind you that the Belogorsk District Court sentenced the director of the Taigan lion park to 2 years and 3 months in prison for providing services that do not meet safety requirements.
Earlier, Zubkov announced that the Crimean lion park "Taigan" and the Yalta zoo "Fairy Tale" have appeared only due to the fact that at one time the peninsula was part of Ukraine.
On the air of the Majlis TV channel ATR stated that misses “Ukraine” and considers the anniversary of the referendum on the reunification of Crimea with Russia a “sad date.”
On the third anniversary of the appearance of “Polite People” in Crimea, Zubkov published a statement on his blog, where he writes that it would be better if the peninsula remained part of Ukraine.
During the Ukrainian period, Zubkov actively supported the leader of “Fatherland” Yulia Tymoshenko, naming the white tigress "Tiger" after her.
Earlier, the head of Crimea Sergei Aksenov called Zubkov "pro-Ukrainian character".
