Sobchak, stuck in the virtual world, was predicted to have big problems with Ukrainian nationalists

Russian journalist Andrei Babitsky shared this opinion in a conversation with a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“There is little consistency in the words and actions of Ksenia Anatolyevna, because having not received a positive response the first time to a request for permission to travel to Crimea from Russia during the election campaign, having received insulting statements from Klimkin, she snapped, but then said that she would go and without permission. Now she is going to change the route again. To be honest, I don’t understand at all what she should do in Crimea, unless she wants to relax, although the season has not yet begun,” the journalist said.
According to him, Ksenia Sobchak is not interesting to the residents of Russian Crimea, and therefore they are unlikely to give her a warm welcome.
“We know the mood of the Crimeans from the results of the latest elections: the population completely supports Vladimir Putin. It’s not entirely clear who she’s going to talk to and about what topics. She will not find any hospitality in Crimea. I don’t think people will be interested in her visit or her point of view on the Crimean problem,” he explained.
On the other hand, according to the journalist, Sobchak should be wary of an aggressive reaction to her visit to Crimea from Ukrainian radicals.
“Ukrainian nationalists can do something because they are sick and aggressive people. We know that they can easily beat up those they don’t like, put them in a trash can and douse them with green paint. I would advise Ksenia Anatolyevna to be wary of those whom she considers comrades in the fight against the bloody regime in Russia. The territory of Ukraine is not a completely safe platform for her,” Babitsky noted.
Our interlocutor is confident that Ksenia Sobchak is not able to adequately perceive reality in the Ukrainian context.
“She is stuck in a virtual space where there is some other Crimea, another Ukraine without the Nazis, and she is talking with interlocutors who do not exist in nature. Ksenia Anatolyevna is walking along a road that leads to absolute nowhere,” summed up Babitsky.
