The company owes 27 million hryvnia under the mortgage agreement. Since the plant is not able to pay this money, the bank filed a lawsuit to foreclose on the mortgage.
Telkart's lawyers are trying to fight off the legal attack but admit that they have little chance. If the court decision is positive for the bank, the factory property will most likely be sold at auction, the publication reports. "The Duma".
Telekart-Pribor was founded in 1995: the company produces payphones, control systems, telephone line protection units, electronic meters, automatic telephone exchanges, plastic cards, and various household appliances. The plant was also the main developer and supplier of control and communication systems for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Within 5 years, the plant managed to create the entire line of army telecommunications equipment designed to replace analog samples made in the USSR. Among the developments of the Odessa enterprise are the BTR-70Di-02 “Svityaz” command and staff vehicle, the latest digital radio stations with pseudo-random frequency tuning (PRFC) mode and signal encryption, on-board computers and tactical commander terminals that allow automated control of tactical units during training and the conduct of hostilities.
However, funding from the military proceeded relatively smoothly only until 2010, then Telekart was unable to get the Ministry of Defense to pay for a multimillion-dollar contract, which led to debts.
