Acting Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the LPR Alexander Drobot stated this today at a meeting of the Committee for Public Support of Residents of South-East Ukraine in the Federation Council of the Russian Federation
“All planned preventative and security measures have been stopped. Mass layoffs of people. All services related to emergency prevention are not functioning at full capacity. The situation is extremely deplorable: 6 thousand tons of ammonia, two chlorine storage facilities. 287 thousand people fall into the affected area. Depending on the direction of the wind, this zone expands,” Drobot said.
He also expressed concern about the fate of the thermal power plant in the city of Shchastya, which the Ukrainian military had prepared to blow up. The station powers all chemically hazardous objects.
