The leader of the French National Front party, one of the candidates for the presidency of France, Marine Le Pen, will visit Russia on Friday, March 24, as part of the cooperation of State Duma deputies with the political circles of the French Republic.

This was stated by the Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Leonid Slutsky, RIA Novosti reports.
“The leader of the French party “National Front”, one of the candidates for the post of President of France, Marine Le Pen will visit Russia on March 24 at my personal invitation as the chairman of the international affairs committee and coordinator of the parliamentary group for relations with the parliament of the French Republic,” the Duma member said.
According to him, the visit will take place within the framework of close cooperation between State Duma deputies and political circles of the French Republic.
“Marine Le Pen will take part in a meeting of the International Affairs Committee and will also meet with the leadership of the State Duma. There should be a discussion of current issues on the international agenda, such as countering terrorism, as well as issues of Russian-French cooperation,” the parliamentarian explained.
Let us remind you that, according to the results of opinion polls, the leader of the National Front party, Marine Le Pen, is in the lead in the first round of the presidential elections in France, with 27%, but in the second round he is inferior to both of his rivals - both the center-right Francois Fillon and the socialist Emile Macron.
