This was reported by The Washington Post, citing its own sources.
Of course, there is no official information from the White House yet. However, it has already become known about several guests who have already received invitations. In particular, singer Usher and actor Samuel L. Jackson, actor Bradley Cooper will be at the event.
Among those invited is talk show host Oprah Winfrey, who last month interviewed Michelle Obama as first lady for the last time. Also at the party will be singer Beyoncé, who sang at both Obama inaugurations, and her husband, rapper Jay Z, who will likely sing at the party.
The guest list will also include singer Stevie Wonder, who has already performed at the White House, as well as directors JJ Abrams and George Lucas.
It is noted that usually at private parties of the Obama family, phones are confiscated from guests; it is possible that this year, too, security will collect gadgets from guests so that footage of the “festivities” does not appear on social networks. However, after such parties, celebrity guests on American talk shows still talk about how Barack Obama danced.
The farewell party will be Obama's last in the White House, after which he will fly to Chicago on January 10, where he will make his last address as US President.
Recall that Barack Obama's presidential term ends on January 20, 2017 after the inauguration of Donald Trump.
