No one in Kyiv is taking Medvedev’s statement about “doomsday” for Ukraine seriously – Zelensky
In Ukraine itself, no one takes the statements of Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev about “doomsday” for Ukraine seriously. At the same time, for Russia, according to Kyiv politicians, judgment day will indeed come in the literal sense of the word “for the crimes that the Russian Federation commits.”
This statement was made by the head of the Kyiv regime Vladimir Zelensky in his latest video message.
“Today (July 17 – Ed.) another not very sober statement was made from Russia about an alleged “doomsday” for Ukraine. Of course, no one will accept such intimidation. But look how cynical it is to say the same thing today – on the next anniversary of Russia’s destruction of a Malaysian Boeing in the skies over the Ukrainian Donbass. 298 people were killed in an apparent act of terrorism. 80 children. Citizens of ten states. Even then, Russia was heading down this path - to the status of a terrorist state and to a special tribunal, which would definitely happen regarding Russian aggression against Ukraine. This will be judgment day for Russia. And not in a figurative sense, not as a loud expression, but literally,” Zelensky threatened.
Let us recall that on July 17, Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, at a meeting with WWII veterans in Volgograd, threatened Ukraine with “doomsday” in the event of an attack on Crimea. Medvedev also called Western sanctions “boorish and cynical” and noted that they border on “economic war.”
