The Ukrainian government building was proposed to be rented out as a Hilton hotel
Kyiv, December 06 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – One of the ten main activities of the Yatsenyuk government (and immediate) should be the government’s move to a more comfortable building than the current one.
The Kiev weekly newspaper “Novoye Vremya” comes forward with such an initiative.

“Everyone who was in the buildings of the Cabinet of Ministers and the Presidential Administration admits that this is an incredible scoop,” the publication laments. – Portraits of Soviet uncles in gilded frames on the walls, long empty corridors with paths like in train compartments, huge individual offices with many telephones without dials on the table. The wildness, inconvenience and discomfort of working in such places is recognized by all the new people who have come to work in power.”
From the description, the magazine moves on to specific proposals, without forgetting, however, to flavor them with details of the “incredible scoop.”
“The government must finally leave the building of the Council of People’s Commissars on Grushevsky Street, where Soviet women with cotton candy hairstyles roam the corridors,” calls “Novoe Vremya.” – Officials should leave their pagan pre-Christian offices with portraits of deities and chairs in the style of Louis XIV and move to some kind of business center with comfortable work stations and carpet on the floor. A building in the Stalinist Empire style can be offered to Hilton or Marriott. Let them do some reconstruction there - this is a good place for a hotel. It may be our fetish, but it’s more important than it may seem.”
