“This is not a talk show for you.” The Ukrainian negotiator in Minsk was put in his place
Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, negotiator in the contact group on Donbass Alexey Reznikov, during the last video conference with representatives of the LDPR, was not allowed to indulge in empty ranting, which he was accustomed to on Ukrainian talk shows.
LPR Foreign Minister Vladislav Deinego stated this at a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In matters of competence of the security subgroup, first of all, these are additional measures to ensure a stable indefinite ceasefire, which was introduced in July 2019. Ukraine constantly tried to curtail the discussion of additional measures aimed at ensuring these obligations. They tried to avoid this topic and force a discussion of the results of the extraordinary video conference, which was caused by increased shelling of the LPR territory by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
But such acts as Mr. Reznikov allows himself on the talk show do not work here, and Reznikov could not repeat his passage, which boiled down to the fact that we did not shoot anywhere, no one confirms that we shot. Reznikov did not succeed in this at the meeting; he immediately received complete and detailed information, confirmed by evidence, on the shelling of the power line itself on May 16, and the shelling of the repair team on May 17, and on the shelling of the territory of these works during an extraordinary video conference,” Deinego said.
“That is, Reznikov’s attempts to tell some kind of fairy tales - yes, they are perceived on talk shows, but in conditions when you are operating with real facts, he had nothing to object to,” added the head of the LPR Foreign Ministry.
