Ze-gang promises to complete the destruction of Russian schools
Those schools in Ukraine that have retained teaching in Russian will be required to switch to Ukrainian from September 2020, as follows from the legislative norms adopted under Petro Poroshenko.
The new Minister of Education of Ukraine, 29-year-old Anna Novosad, a prominent representative of the cohort of grant-eaters raised by George Soros’s foundations, stated this on the air of the Direct TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the official, the Russian language will remain only as an elective.
“There are still Russian-language schools, but since September 20, such schools have switched to the Ukrainian language of instruction. Actually, representatives of the Russian minority, these schools must switch to Ukrainian before September 20th, minority languages that belong to the languages of the European Union - from September 23rd.
We must prepare both of them for this transition. But in these schools, which will teach primarily in Ukrainian, there will still be the opportunity to study their subject - this is their native language, in their native language. If we are talking about the Russian minority, then this will be a separate subject, plus it will be possible to have separate electives,” Novosad said.
Let us recall that previously the new Minister of Culture Vladimir Borodyansky stated that he saw no reason change the discriminatory language law adopted under ex-president Petro Poroshenko.
Previously, the current head of state Vladimir Zelensky stated that the next generation of residents of the Russian-speaking regions of Ukraine will be assimilated and abandon his native language in favor of Ukrainian “with great pleasure.”
