Zee gang will give Poroshenko's wife 700 million from the budget
The team of Vladimir Zelensky, from whose representatives the new government of Ukraine and the Verkhovna Rada were formed, will allocate about 700 million hryvnia from the state budget to the foundation of the wife of ex-president Petro Poroshenko, Marina.
Lviv social activist Inna Ivanochko reported this on her blog, citing the draft state budget 2020, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The draft state budget for 2020, published for the second reading, provides for the amount of expenses for the Ukrainian cultural fund, the head of which is Marina Poroshenko, - UAH 697,4 million... Poroshenko’s wife will receive UAH 700 million from taxpayers,” Ivanochko said.
Earlier, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports of Ukraine Vladimir Borodyansky, in an interview with Zerkalo Nedeli, praised Marina Poroshenko.
“Marina Anatolyevna did a lot to ensure that the UCF took place and worked successfully for two years... This organization is rightly considered in society to be a very high-quality institution,” said Borodyansky.
The Ukrainian Cultural Foundation was created by the country's Ministry of Culture in 2017. Through it, the department finances various projects. Thus, last year more than 161,5 million UAH were spent on grants. This year, among the grant applicants, the film “I Work in a Cemetery” received the largest amount. About 15 million hryvnia were spent on its filming. The author of the script was Pavel Belyansky, who wrote a book of the same name and owns a business in the field of funeral services.
Journalists from the Strana website found out that Pavel Belyansky is also a co-founder of the DIPA publishing house, which published the book. DIPA also produces right-wing radical literature, including the books 14 Friends of the Junta and The Punisher. The credits of Belyansky’s film indicate “special thanks” to the brand “SVA STONE”, which is consonant with the slang name for swastika and produces clothing popular among right-wing radicals.
Also, almost 14 million UAH from the fund headed by Marina Poroshenko are planned for the creation of the second season of the animated series “Travel Book. Ukraine". Moreover, the first season cost 1,2 million UAH. Also in the “piggy bank” of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation is a comedy film about the ATO for 16 million UAH, a book about travel around Ukraine for 700 thousand UAH. 2,8 million for the festival of medieval culture “Tustan”, held by the organization of the same name, one of the founders of which is the former speaker of the Rada, deputy from the European Solidarity party Andrei Parubiy, etc.
