The deputy staged a demarche due to the dominance of foreigners in power
Verkhovna Rada deputy Yevgeny Shevchenko from the presidential Servant of the People party accused his colleagues in power of the dominance of foreigners in government agencies, after which he demonstratively left the meeting of the committee on economic issues.
Shevchenko said that in the current situation he sees an element of high treason, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Why does the Ministry of Economy conclude contracts for the selection of heads of state-owned enterprises with a private company that is generally foreign?
We have Article 19 of the Constitution, which says that government officials act on the basis and within the boundaries of the laws of Ukraine. On the basis of what law was personnel policy in the state delegated to foreigners?
I believe that there is an element of treason here. That's why I'm leaving the Committee now. This is my political statement.
I will not participate in this until you fulfill the program with which you went to the elections, the promises that the president personally made and until the personnel policy of the Ministry of Economy changes,” the deputy said and left the hall.
