“The Team” does not strive for peace in Donbass
Statements by associates of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky indicate that the new government does not strive for a quick end to the conflict in Donbass.
Political journalist Vyacheslav Pikhovshek stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I could add to many more things that were said in the statement of the Opposition Platform - For Life regarding Danilyuk, but I think that the psychological portrait of this hanger-on, who jumped from one boss to another, is already quite obvious. Of course, I was especially touched by his words that he was not familiar with Medvedchuk’s peace plan, but did not support it. Does this remind you of anything? “I haven’t read it, but I condemn it.”
Today a statement from “OPZZH” appeared, which is a reaction not so much to Danylyuk, but to two interviews with Razumkov, Zelensky’s man, about whom they say that he will work in the Verkhovna Rada in some leadership position.
In two interviews: in the Russian Kommersant and in the Ukrainian Novoye Vremya, which appeared today, he says approximately the same thing: that the matter of establishing peace is a long process, and for a very long time he explains in some way the length of this process. So this statement says: “In his rhetoric and actions, Zelensky is no longer different from the previous Poroshenko regime,” Pikhovshek emphasized.
Pikhovshek also spoke about the difficult situation in the religious field of Ukraine.
“I provide a lot of information regarding appeals to Zelensky from believers. But, correct me, maybe I’m wrong, but was there at least one answer from Zelensky to these believers? Yes, he can, as in other situations, act out, drag his feet, and pretend that no one is addressing him.
You know, I don’t want to be a bad prophet, I would like to be wrong, but this is before the first major conflict, it’s just that, thank God, it hasn’t happened yet, when Zelensky will have to decide on his position, with whom: he is on the side of the law, on the side of the Constitution, which guarantees equal religious rights to all of us, or on the side of the political or geopolitical expediency of Washington and Constantinople, and Epiphanius, of course, since he is doing this. Zelensky will have to make a decision. And to remain silent in all cases, especially in a peak case, in the event of a major social conflict, I think that he will not succeed, I am sure of this,” the journalist emphasized.
Let us recall, as PolitNavigator previously reported, the situation in Donbass is far from peaceful: Ukrainian military deployed to the contact line in the Lugansk region, howitzers and anti-tank guns prohibited by the Minsk agreements.
