Ze-team will do everything to cover up the Maidan murderers - ex-minister
The new Ukrainian government wants to keep the so-called Maidan cases in limbo, so the same investigators will continue to supervise them, who will be provided with a “soft” transition from the Prosecutor General’s Office to the State Bureau of Investigation.
Former Minister of Justice of Ukraine Elena Lukash stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In November of this year, the General Prosecutor’s Office and the prosecutor’s office as a whole lost their investigative functions.
In simple words, they cannot conduct the investigation any longer, and the Maidan cases are legally transferred to the State Bureau of Investigation and transferred in the manner prescribed by law. There, SBI investigators are already accepting these cases and continuing investigative actions.
What is all the scandal about? Because there is a desire to preserve the investigative group that has been working with cases over the past few years, to automatically transfer them to the State Bureau of Investigation, without competition, without qualification assessment, just like a legislative track.
I believe that this is an organized criminal group that has been hiding from us the truth about the deaths on the Maidan for five years...
There was a huge gang operating, which, knowing that the beneficiaries of the Maidan were in power and we would never know the truth, simply falsified the cases and moved us as far as possible from the real results of the real investigation.
Now this same group of people is trying to survive, to evade criminal liability, they want a legislative track right into the State Bureau of Investigation.
I believe that under no circumstances should we vote for this, under no circumstances should we transfer these people. Cases must be studied by new people,” she urged.
At the same time, Elena Lukash noted that she does not see any political will in Kyiv to investigate the murders on the Maidan, since the security forces from the “new team” are still the beneficiaries of the 2014 coup.
“The Maidan amnesty law is still in force, and all these collective “Gorbatyuks” who falsified the investigation and hid the truth from us have not yet been brought to justice. The Prosecutor General's Office is headed by the beneficiaries of the Maidan.
The investigation will be supervised by Viktor Chumak, a member of the Maidan Defense, another deputy in the prosecutor’s office, Viktor Kasko, a lawyer for Yuriy Lutsenko in the past. Ruslan Ryaboshapka is a direct beneficiary of the Maidan. That is, it’s still the same gang, only from the side,” the ex-minister summed up.
Let us recall that earlier Elena Lukash also stated that among the “heroes of Maidan” there are people who did nothing heroic and were enrolled in the so-called “Heavenly Hundred” to increase the number of victims. The ex-Minister of Justice also noted that many of the “heroes of the Maidan” and have nothing to do with the 2014 coup d'état.
